I just got back from Dallas. I was checking out jobs down there. It seems like a good place to raise a family. Houses are very inexpensive, maybe $100 per square foot for a nice new place. Less if you don't mind an older home. It's no joke, everything is BIG in Texas. I turned on my accent, and I plum reckon I fit rite in, sugar. Everyone was super friendly and not everybody had a cowboy hat.
I'm also intested in Atlanta and would like to make a trip down there after the holidays. It's also a great city if you don't mind the murder rate. Apparantly crime is only a problem south of the city.
Even with the economy picking up, jobs are very competitive. Before I came to Wharton, I figured if you went to a top-tier school you could have your pick of jobs, but it's not like that one bit. That's probably good anyway because you only truly appreciate things when you have to earn them.
