Martha Stewart gets sentenced today. Some experts say she will get 5 months to a year of jail time. She hasn't spoken at all during her trial and isn't likely to do so during her sentencing.
Martha has herself in a Catch-22. If she gets up and says 'I didn't do anything wrong,' the judge could go with 16 months" because Stewart hasn't expressed remorse. If Stewart says 'I'm sorry,' that undercuts her appeal. She's admitted she's done something wrong.

I think it is most ironic how much higher ImClone stock is since she sold her shares. What poor headwork. She should have come completely clean right off the bat. She probably would have walked away with a few hundred thousand in fines. I'm sure she's lost millions of dollars in MSO value and legal fees. But it's a pretty big deal for a CEO to lie to 2 goverment agencies and forge documents.
