Interview season officially kicked off at Wharton yesterday. There are numerous companies doing interviews over the next few months and a good number of them are packed into about a 1-week Dedicated Interview Period. Needless to say, there are not many social events this weekend. I imagine the whole process will be a valuable opportunity to rethink one's strengths and skills. I'm not used to having to "sell" myself. In the military, you broke out from the pack through performance. Now you have to have a story and a strong sell for every job opportunity. It's actually fairly similar to the MBA admissions process.

It looks like Iraqi elections are going to go through tomorrow. There was a rocket attack on the U.S. embassy today. I can't understand exactly why the insurgents are trying to disrupt elections since I'm quite sure they want the U.S. to pull out. It looks like a win-win opportunity to me.
