Caroline definitely had a busy weekend. Her Aunt Shannon came to visit her and was a big help. We got Caroline's birth announcements mailed out and Aunt Shannon even babysat while JP and I went on a date. Our first date away was to a movie and Dairy Queen. Aunt Shannon got to change lots of diapers and rock Caroline to sleep. It was nice to have some extra hands so that I could get some things done. I actually went to the library on Saturday afternoon to begin studying for my exams which are less than a week away. Yikes. I'm nervous. JP and Shannon took Caroline on her first outing to McArthur Mall. Fortunately for JP Caroline is not able to ask him for the Visa Card yet.
Easter Sunday was Caroline's first time attending church. She was a good girl and laid strechted out on JP's lap for most of the service. She wore a sweet little white "smock'in" gown and received lots of nice comments and smiles. Afterwards, we met some friends for brunch at Founder's Inn and Caroline had her picture taken with Mom, Dad and the Easter bunny. She was very content all day...however, Easter night none of us got much sleep.
Today was Caroline's two week check-up. She has definitely grown! She weighted 7 lbs 8 ounces and has grown 3/4 an inch--to almost 21 inches. She is like the hungry catepillar! This next week or so will be hectic as I take my exams. Grammy Pat and Nana Tina will be coming into town to care for Caroline while Mom is "living" at the library.
