The U.N. official in charge of the Oil-for-Food program in Iraq, Benon Sevan, has been charged with soliciting and taking bribes. Overall he netted about $500k in the scheme. This comes after the allegations that U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan fed his son's company contracts to authenticate shipments entering Iraq. Might be time to do a little housecleaning over there.
