Mike Tyson, boxing heavyweight champion (and convicted rapist), was utterly annihilated in the ring this weekend by Kevin McBride, an unaccomplished Irish boxer. The fight included a head-butt by Tyson, but no apparant ear gnawing. Supposedly, crazy Tyson is finally ready to retire. But supposedly he is still millions of dollars in debt. He won a $5.5 million purse for this fight, but only pocketed $250,000, with the remainder going to creditors and the IRS. Tyson earned over $140 million over his boxing carreer. Tyson said,

I cannot do this no more. I am not going to lie to myself. And I am not going to embarrass this sport. This is a great sport. This is a sport that has taken men with pretty humble lives and humble beginnings and put them in the position to rub shoulders with royalty. I am not going to embarrass this sport anymore.

I've got news for ya, Mike, you've been embarrassing boxing for years and officially gave boxing a 'bad name.' Still, I would be surprised if this was really his last fight. Tyson cried that his loss last year to that British boxer, another big upset fight, was his last fight as well. Let's hope it's true this time.
