Tom Cruise went off on some television pranksters in London. They pretended to interview him at his War of the Worlds premiere and then squirted him with a water-microphone. Cruise brashly berated the squirter, as he had every right to do in my opinion. They were arrested and may face assault charges. This is not long after Cruise proposed to Katie Holmes with a 15-carat diamond ring.

Tom Cruise went to high school with my in-laws. He apparently was rather quiet and unassuming, then he just took of for Hollywood and made it big. My brother-in-law sat next to Cruise's Mom at some school event recently. That's about the extent of my exposure to celebrities.
