Here is an interesting article on new words popping into modern vocabulary. I hate the word impactful, but there are few other ways to convey the same meaning.

I was surprised that a new pope was chosen so quickly. I was also surprised that a German was selected. I thought maybe an African cardinal would be selected to convey the openness of the church. Apparently he is fairly conservative so we won't be getting women priests any time soon.
