I got another packet from UPenn Student Financial Services yesterday. It looks like there are 2 types of Stafford loans, one from UPenn and one from and one from any old bank. The UPenn version has no fees. I had signed up for the loan at any old bank, not realizing the difference. But when I checked up on it at the AES website, it had been changed to a UPenn loan. I guess they said, "What's with this idiot, give him the correct loan."
Consolidated loans drop to 2.875% on July 1st--wow! At Citibank, if you sign up for direct payment, you get another .25% off. Then if you make your payments on time for 48 months, it's another .5% off. I wouldn't mind 2% interest for 15 years.
I put a cool Wharton logo on my cel phone background. It looks pretty sweet.
