I signed up for G-Mail, the Google email that has gotten all the publicity about invading your privacy. Mostly so I can lock in my email address. I suppose I don't really mind if a computer reads my email and gives me targeted ads. They've got to get some sort of revenue stream.
On a seperate note, the Department of Justice started a global raid on internet pirated software today. I am curious how much piracy actually affects sales. I imagine most of the piracy of expensive programs like Photoshop is by students or kids who can't afford the $600 price tag. Not that it's OK, but they aren't going to buy it anyway.
