Pat Tillman, the Arizona Cardinals safety who turned down a $3.6 million contract to enlist in the Army after September 11th, was just reported to have died in Afganistan. I remember reading about his decsion in SI several years back. He apparantly was the type of person who cared about principles more important than money.
