Spring is finally arriving. The cherry blossoms are in bloom. We're starting to get the house ready for sale. We had it painted a few weeks ago. I've been painting the interior trim. Shawn has been planting flowers. I've reseeded and fertilized the yard. Ah, the joys of home ownership!

I've also been looking at properties in Philadelphia. There are 2 primary options:

1. Live in the city.
Pros: Close to campus, close to cultural activities, lots of bars and restaurants, close to 90% of other students.
Cons: Expensive, parts of any city are sketchy.

2. Live in suburbs.
Pros: Bigger house for the money, good schools, suburban America atmosphere.
Cons: Long commute to campus, expense of commuting, can't experience many social activities with other students in the city, hard to meet other students for study sessions.

I'm leaning toward city life. There is a nice area called Rittenhouse Square with a huge park and lots of neat stuff going on. It's very pricey though.

I'll be going up to Wharton next weekend for Wharton Welcome Weekend. It will be fun to meet other prospective students and scope out the area. I'm hoping to stay with a Wharton student, but may stay with one of my roommates from the Academy, Erik. I can't wait!

This Thursday is Caroline's 1st birthday. Family will start arriving Wednesday. Should be a busy weekend with a full house. I can't say it's been a quick year, but it has been rewarding and eventful!
